Day 01
ARRIVAL IN MAKASSAR / CITY TOUR (D)
On your arrival at Hasanuddin Airport Makassar, you will meet our Tour Guide. Then we will take you on a city tour around Makassar by visiting Balla Lompoa, the palace of the former Gowa kingdom where we can find all ancient collections from its royal family. Then we visit Sulawesi Miniature Garden to see all types of South Sulawesian traditional houses and the Fort Somba Opu. Continue to Akkarena beach in Tanjung Bunga for refreshment while try to catch the beautiful sunset. After enough time, check in at the Hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

 

Day 02
MAKASSAR – MAMASA (B,L,D)
After breakfast, check out hotel. Then we will depart to Mamasa with a picturesque drive passing through the Buginese villages with their typical wooden houses. Lunch will be served in Polewali, a small town on west Sulawesi famous for its Mandarnese brave and powerful sailormen. The drive from Polewali to Mamasa offers many spectacular views en route. Mamasa is a high mountain area, located on the West of Toraja famous for its beautiful superb, covered by mountainous and tropical forests. In the afternoon, arrive in Mamasa. Dinner and overnight stay at Mamasa Cottage.

 

Day 03
FULL DAY MAMASA TOUR (B,L,D)
After breakfast, we will take you on a full day tour around Mamasa. In the morning we will visit Rante Buda where we will see the traditional houses of Mamasa, similar with their brother Toraja ethnic group. Then visit Kampong Tawalian, Osanga village and the tomb of Tedong-Tedong Minanga. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, we will visit the weaving center in Rantesapubala. After enough time, we back to Mamasa Cottage for dinner and overnight stay.

 

Day 04
MAMASA – TORAJA (B,L,D)
After breakfast, drive to Tana Toraja. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in Polewali. In the afternoon, stop on the Puncak Lakawan to enjoy a coffee break in Bambapuang Café overlooking the spectacular erotic Mt. Buttukabobong. Late in the afternoon, arrive in Toraja. Dinner and overnight stay at the Hotel.

 

Day 05
FULL DAY TORAJA TOUR (B,L,D)
After breakfast, we will visit the stone hanging grave of Lemo with its Tau-Tau effigies. Then we visit Kambira where we can find the peculiar baby graves in the trees. Onwards we will explore the architecture of Tongkonan houses in Ketekesu village and Londa, which is a natural grave with entombed deceased. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in Rantepao. In the afternoon, we visit Nanggala and Siguntuk, local Torajan villages famous for their old Tongkonan houses and rice barns. Then back to the Hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

 

Day 06.
FULL DAY TORAJA TOUR (B,L,D)
In the morning we will visit Tinombayo where we can enjoy the spectacular view of the megalith stones spread over the extensive rice fields. Then to a burial cave of Lokomata. From Lokomata, we continue our trip to Batutumonga where we will a have short trekking, enjoy the beautiful panorama and experience a moment of the unique Torajan life style.. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in Batutumonga. In the afternoon, we will visit Pallawa & Sa’dan, local Torajan villages famous for their wood carving. Then back to the Hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

 

Day 07
TORAJA – MAKASSAR / TRANSFER AIRPORT (B,L)
After breakfast, we drive back to Makassar. Lunch will be served at a seafood restaurant in Pare-Pare. In the afternoon, arrive in Makassar. Onwards transfer directly to Hasanuddin Airport to catch your flight for your next destination.
